Same sex marriages have been a battle fought for some time across the nation. Now there are several states that have sprung up to help out the homosexual community and provide nuptials. But, now they face a problem that seems as though it may be a governmental joke. They can’t get divorced.
Doesn’t it seem like the government is saying to them, “Be careful what you wish for you just may get it?” According to the Huffington Post, a judge in Austin granted a divorce, but the Texas Attorny General, Greg Abbott, is appealing the divorce decision. He is also trying to reverse a divorce that was granted in Dallas saying that “traditional definition of marriage means doing the same for divorce.”

I don’t know, but it seems that this damned if I do, damned if I don’t, situation can be easily rectified with a simple stroke of a pen to legislation that has already made its way across Congress once. But just for the sake of getting their digs in, they may never find themselves acting hastily on the behalf of this issue.
