FUBU Secures Its ‘Legacy’

There has to be some remnant of FUBU around your house.  Everybody has some vintage FUBU laying around from the 90’s.  If you don’t and you’re just finding out that FUBU stands for For Us By Us, welcome.  In case you didn’t make it in the 90s, they’re back with “FUBU Legacy.”

FUBU Legacy is the new name for a newly re- tailored and overhauled brand.  According to Allhiphop.com, the brand’s style is targeted at 15-25 year olds (sort of like before) and the same players are on board: founder Daymond John, Carl Brown, J. Alexander Martin, and Keith Perrin.

The four friends from Queens came together in 1992 to launch the line for the first time and was quite successful with some help from L.L. Cool J.  Although, he sued them in 2005 for monies owed for his endorsements.  This time around they’re working with Slim Thug, who has already been featured in ads for the brand.
