10 of the Worst Fattening Sandwiches

You like going to Quizno’s, Panera bread, and Subway right?  They have some pretty good food right?  And you’re going there because this is the healthy choice in fast food.  Right?  Well, we’re here to tell you that per the newest list of fattening sandwiches from Men’s Health, your favorite fat burger spot WAS NOT on the list…but they were.

There’s some pretty shocking stuff on this list because you don’t associate grilled chicken and tuna with fat in most cases.  Check out these heartbreakers…and this is just some of them:

Quizno’s Large Tuna Melt
I know I know…you’re crying already!  Well, go get some tissue and clean your eyes out so you can read this:
1,760 calories
25 g saturated fat
2,120 mg sodium
With this sandwich coming in as second worst, you need to call your physician NOW!  You have got to get that blood pressure checked.  But, if you wanna try and get the ball rolling in the right direction while still getting your fat on, they offer a substitute:
Eat This Instead!
Bistro Steak Melt Sammie
390 calories
11.5 g saturated fat
1,050 mg sodium
Subway Meatball Marinara Footlong

Now after we saw the Subway guy, Jared, go through his transformation we were all on the Subway kick to lose weight.  But, the problem is, some of us ordered the Meatball Marinara, which ranks as fifth worst sandwich, while Jared was eating turkey breast.  Check out the specs on this one:

1,160 calories
46 g fat (18 g saturated, 2 g trans)
3,060 mg sodium
Here’s the substitute they offer along with advising that foot long anything should be off limits.  Here it is:

Eat This Instead!
Roast Beef 6-inch
310 calories
4.5 g fat (1.5 g saturated, 0 g trans)
840 mg sodium

Panera Full Chipotle Chicken on Artisan French Bread

Now this is the true shocker because you figure with all that you pay for Panera’s sandwiches that they are giving you the best, most healthiest food.  The food there seems to be pretty healthy until you get to the seventh worst sandwich on the list, that includes grilled chicken.  Here’s the damage:

990 calories
56 g fat (15 g saturated, 1 g trans)
2,370 mg sodium
The world is just upside down. I’m going to have to call my therapist behind this list.   I guess I’ll have to order this substitute they suggest from now on…on my way to therapy.  The substitute isn’t that bad though.  Check it out:
Eat This Instead!
Chicken Bacon Dijon on French Bread
650 calories
24 g fat (11 g saturated)
1,140 mg sodium
Go get your physician’s number and a tissue box for the rest of the list here.
