He has been joking around about his show being canceled by NBC, but the rumors may be true. If he is canceled it appears they will shift Conan O’ Brien back to his time slot and all will be the same as it was.
MSNBC reports that the news on the gossip wire so far is that “The Jay Leno Show” would go on hiatus Feb. 1 and then come back to his original spot after the Winter Olympics. And when it returned, Jay Leno would be back as the host and Conan is shipped back to his own show.
The New York Times also reported that making this move with Leno back in his chair, O’Brien’s show would have to shift to 12:05 a.m. for an hour-long program. “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” would not start until 1:05 a.m.
