This may sound like a riddle, but it isn’t. The new year has seen a phenomenon that will last these siblings for life. The twins, Marcello and Stephano were born seconds apart, but those few seconds made all the difference. The first twin, Marcello, was born at 11:59:37 p.m. Thursday and he was the last baby to be born at Tampa General Hospital in 2009. His brother, Stephano, was born at 12:00:02 a.m. Friday and he was the first baby born at Tampa General Hospital in 2010.
The parents, Juan and Margarita Velasco, have some story to tell and so do their identical twin sons. The first and last twins born in that hospital and the only identical twins their friends will possibly know born on two separate days. And because this is such a momentous birth, they will never have their parties on the same day. It will take away from the significance.
According to the report, the hospital was quite busy with babies being delivered before and after midnight. Read the full story here. Congratulations Velasco family!
