It’s obvious that Gabrielle Union was hit hard by the recent death of wide receiver Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals when she wrote a heartfelt message on Russel Simmons’ Globalgrind.com.
She titled the essay, “Keep Looking In The Mirror,” for those of us who have been weighing in on the young football player’s life that was riddled with missteps and second chances from his Bengals team.
In case you aren’t aware of what happened, Henry fell off the back of a pick-up truck that was being driven by his fiancee’ during what has been reported as a domestic dispute.
The incident sparked a few too many ”sermons” about a young man that some only knew from police reports and messy media. One in particular was written by New York Jets kicker Jay Feely.
Union is addressing him and others who may think they have the right to judge:
“How many more lives need to be lost before we realize that as good Christians (as many of us like to call ourselves), spiritual beings or just plain old good folks, we need to STOP THE JUDGEMENT and try to lift each other up when we’ve fallen off the path.”
