Everyone waits year after year for Sade to drop some of her musical crack on us. By the time she decides to drop a new title we are scratchin’ our arms, pacing the streets, rubbin our iPods and mp3’s. And this time is no different than any other. Her song “Soldier of Love” was in heavy rotation yesterday.
Mostly old school radio stations and the Michael Baisden show (who ran it every hour during his show) were playing it and asking for her public’s thoughts.
The song is yet another Sade classic full with the rhythmical remnants of her style with a hint of today’s popular neo sound. Maybe a little Kanye a little Big Daddy Kane … but I doubt it.
If this one song is anything like the album, it appears she has another winner on her hands. Check it out and enjoy:
