The Obamas host the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Mrs. Gursharan Kaur for the first official state dinner on Tuesday night.
All eyes were on Washington yesterday for the President’s first state dinner of his administration.
President Obama and First Lady Michelle hosted Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur for the White House’s first official state dinner since President Obama took office.
Michelle Obama’s dress was of course the talk of the night. She wore a beautiful gown designed by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan.
The roster of guests numbered so many that the affair had to be planned for outside tent rather than inside the White House. Somewhere along the way the guest list ballooned from 150 to 338.
