Trisha Mann, who plays Terri, the wife and her on stage husband, Christopher Williams

Every woman knows that The Clean Up Woman is a very real woman out there waiting to pounce on her man.  Now if you haven’t enjoyed it already, there’s a play making its rounds in a theater near you that tells you all about her and the multi-talented Christopher Williams is the man in her crosshairs.

The play is laugh-out-loud funny with up and coming producer and writer J.D. Lawrence at the helm of the jokes.  He plays seven different roles and all of them hilarious.  The play is filled with talent though.  Starting with Trisha Mann, she plays the wife (Terri) of Christopher Williams character Stewart.   She started her career as the face of Fashion Fair and Raveen Hair products.  She’s been in many plays including a popular play by David E. Talbert, “His Woman, His Wife,” where she co-starred with Malik Yoba, Tommy Ford and Tony Terry.

Ali Woodson, former lead singer of the Temptations, plays the love interest and provider of Jackee' Harry's character Jasmine.

Ali Woodson, who plays Jackee Harry’s “donor” or “goldmine”, Willie Bond, took on the lead of the Temptations after the group lost David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks.  One of his most popular songs with the group in the mid-80s “Treat Her Like A Lady” went gold (that was pre-platinum era).  He really saaaangs in this production ladies!  If you’re not old enough to be a true Temptations fan, he’ll make you his fan before the play is over…and not just for his singing.

Entertainment maven, Telma Hopkins, plays Terri's mom

Telma Hopkins, plays Terri’s mother.  Hopkins is a talented, quick-witted wonder who is a entertainment keepsake for all generations.  We all remember her from Family Matters, but the old heads remember her as a member of Tony Orlando and Dawn.  The younguns only remember her from her most recent role in the now syndicated “Half and Half.” 

Christopher Williams plays the husband, Stewart

Christopher Williams plays the faithful husband that the clean up woman comes for when he’s hoping for a little time with his wife.  He comes to the stage and glows in his performance and blows the crowd away with his phenomenal voice.  His voice is stronger than ever and maybe better than you remember. 

The Clean Up Woman is, according to JD Lawrence, the #1 play in America right now.  It is definitely a rewarding and teaching, family play that will make you laugh till you cry.  Check it out!
