What's Up, technology

cell_phone

The cell phone of yesteryear is long gone.  Remember the VCR sized cell phone or even the one that was a bit larger than your house phone?  Well, the 21st century has ushered in a cell phone that you have to replace every week because it has gotten so microscopic that you lose it in your pocket.  But, along with the “downsizing” comes the updating.  Most cell phones are miniature computers, which is probably why hackers have become interested in them.

The President already confessed his addiction to his “crackberry” and he is not alone.  Folks will carry their cell phones into places they wouldn’t take some of their most treasured family or friends.  But beware of taking it any and everywhere, especially if you’re up to something a little less than honorable.  Hackers are getting in your phone, but some of those hackers are those who may be a little bit insecure or just wanna get in ya bidness!

There is software available that allows ANYONE to get in your phone and turn it into a virtual mic.  The software allows them to listen in on your calls, read all your texts and even when you’re not using it, you can hear the person’s conversation by activating the phone with a code.  Now the disclaimer…do not use this report to go out and spend your last dollar to rig your man/girl’s phone to catch them in something by violating their privacy.  We wouldn’t want to have to put your “situation” up on our blog next week because it made national news.  Ok?  that being said, check out the report:
