Are You Serious?, What's Up, crime

jail cells

Can you imagine if someone murdered your mother and then when you come to trial the killer is allowed to muzzle you and keep you from having any say in court?  Sounds absurd?  It is.  This fool, Ralph Leroy Menzies, is trying to use a miniscule use of wording in the Victims’ Rights Amendment to the Utah Constitution to lend credence to his argument.  According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the Amendment reads:

“The Victims’ Rights Amendment to the Utah Constitution mandates that victims of crime be treated with fairness and respect, be informed of important court hearings, be allowed to attend those hearings, and be heard at them.”

Well, he’s trying to use the use of “important” to say that the hearing was not crucial enough for the victim’s son,  Matt Hunsaker, to be invited and he should not be allowed to speak.  He must be scared that having Mr. Hunsaker in the room to speak for his mother will hurt his chances of getting off death row.  Poor murderer.  Everyone really wants to see him get off death row and be taken care of for the rest of his life.

Read here for more of the details on this waste of time.
