Over the weekend, the strangest thing happened. A fawn jumped right into the lion’s den at the National Zoo in D.C. The animal was chased down by two female lions and somehow got away, butthe Washington Post reported that the deer still needed to be euthanized because of a severe injury to its belly.
The deer was getting away from one of the lions and someone captured it on video. The Washington Post also reported the unusual account of cheering that occurred next. It might make you a bit uneasy. Check it out:
