The 2009 World Series Winners, the New York Yankees!
The new World Series Champs are the New York Yankees. The city is back to Bloomberg for Mayor and the rest is baseball history.
New York can take their hats off to themselves. They whipped up on the Phillies and went to vote.
Hideki Matsui made Series MVP. Associated Press reports that he tied a World Series record with six RBIs. Winning this game makes 27 different years, the Yankees beat up on somebody, unheard of for ANY sport.
