Well, at least someone in the Boston Police Department [BPD] may get fired for acting “stupidly.” But, the BPD really needs to come clean and own up to their true feelings. Just kidding!
This is an isolated incident within the Boston police department and the thoughts shared in the e-mail is not those of everyone in the department. [The department should've hired me for that disclaimer].
But, in an effort to blow the roof off the motha and let it be known that BPD don’t play that, heads flew after this e-mail was discovered. It wasn’t hard for them to find it as the fool that sent it out, sent it as a mass e-mail and now the thing is all over Earth.
The Boston Herald is reporting that once the superiors got the e-mail it was cause for immediate termination.
Yes!
And FORMER Officer Justin Barrett, 36, is only a two-year veteran on top of that. You disgrace yourself and your department in this short time of service?
At least he was true to his racist self because they also reported that when a supervisor confronted him about the e-mail referring to Gates as a “jungle monkey” he gave himself up immediately.
Read the full story on Barrett here and See below how BPD feels about all of this:

Had we, as a society, a bit thicker skins, we would broadcast these lunacies far and wide, with an appropriate apology to the more sensitive among us, demonstrate a little Common Sense for our fellow man, and let the fringe element drown in the laughter and public ridicule generated by their own thinking or lack thereof. Along with the right to free speech comes the right to make a public fool of oneself; and like the naked, fools have little or no influence on society. We should “Never Underestimate the Power of Laughter.”
