The cops in New Jersey were not prepared for a wild, wild west type of shoot out when they were investigating a couple of robbery suspects in the wee hours of yesterday morning. One of the armed gunmen, Hassan Shakur had a shotgun on him inside his monk gown and immediately started shooting when an officer approached him. When the blaze of fire ended inside an apartment where the two decided to hold up, they were killed and five police officers injured. See report from police officers here:
