D.C. Commuter Train Collision Kills 6

The commuter  systems in major cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City and D.C. are all relatively safe.  They can count on one hand the amount of collisions that have taken place on their lines.

But, the deadliest accident in D.C.’s commuter system history happened yesterday and six people were left dead.

The collision of one train ramming another cannot be explained but many people were injured some critically.  The driver of one of the trains was included in the six fatalities.

The area where the trains collided is near the D.C. / Maryland line.
