Chart topping rap artist Nelly has once again (since losing his sister to Sickle Cell Anemia) met with misery. An up and coming rapper, Ortega Henderson, a friend of Nelly’s and a member of a group affiliated with Nelly called Da Camp has died from complications to bullet wounds he suffered May 16.
The young man had a broken past and had a small criminal record, but was trying to make good with his music. But, Kyjuan Cleveland, a founding member of the rap group St. Lunatics, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “He was on the right path for a minute, but times are hard and he started hanging around the wrong people.”
He is the second in such a short time, Dolla in California just senselessy lost his life a couple weeks ago. Well, we’re just going to send our prayers out to the communities across the nation hoping that the killing will stop. R.I.P.
