The Fox network has to be put in their place. I mean come on, to plan a LAYOFF REALITY SHOW? What kind of foolishness is that when we’re in the midst of very real economic pressures that heads of families are killing themselves and their families over? Certainly, people will voice their concerns over this show immediately.
The show is set to be called “Someone’s Gotta Go.” The craziest part of this is that the boss doesn’t fire the person, the colleagues do. And they will be opening the salary, human resources files and budget records to the employees and allowing them to make the decision.
Mike Darnell, chief of alternative programming at Fox denies that there is any problem with the show saying, “It’s certainly no worse than watching the news every night and hearing all the statistics and watching what is happening. To be frank, like all these shows, if you don’t want to watch, don’t watch it.”
Picture this … it’s the last episode during the taping, just as they are firing the person, the employee opens fire on the participants and camera men and the show pans to commercial. Tell me again how it can’t get worse.
Get the details here and make a noise … I am!
