The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act , hasn’t been in effect for five minutes and it’s already started one of the most historic lawsuits rolling in U.S. history. Women everywhere are asking for back pay and/or for their pay to be made equal to those of their male counterparts.
The government sided with the women of Wal-mart who filed a class action lawsuit back in 2007 over unequal pay, but had fallen into some loophole that wouldn’t let them file as a class action lawsuit. The Lily Ledbetter Act hasn’t been off President Obama’s desk no time and w0men are already empowering women and at the lead of why they are getting ready to be heard at all.
