Dang, what can you say about Mr. Tyler Perry? How about he’s tearing Hollywood a new You-know-what” with his success at the box office. And all his success without the establishment’s involvement. He’s simply doing his own thing and completely ignoring those who said he couldn’t be successful without the Hollywood machinery.
Well, brotherman continues to prove that Yes He Can! After demolishing the competition last week and landing atop the box office, he’s back to claim the top spot for a second week in a row and beat out the Jonas Brothers to boot. AP reported:
“Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail” locked up $16.5 million in ticket sales to claim the top spot at the box office for a second straight weekend, beating out “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.”
