Are You Serious?

A Louisiana inmate was able to break out of prison and get approximately 100 miles away. But, all of a sudden something came over him.  He was cold.  He was wet.  And he was hongry.  It appears he became homesick.  He needed to get back to his, in inmate speak, “3 hots and a cot.”

A lot of people that are advocates of rehabilitating prisoners, usually juvenile prisoners, are running into the brick wall of the conveniences of prison.  Some of the inmates come from such a desperate situation outside the walls, that inside the walls is more appealing.

The guard that allegedly helped him out the door is probably kicking himself right now.  What was it that Harriet Tubman said,  “If I could have convinced more slaves that they were slaves, I could have freed thousands more.” Read here in amazement over his change of heart.  He should’ve stayed on the inside for all the trouble.
