Did y’all know that Vanessa from the Cosby Show and Ron from A Different World are married? Their real names are Tempestt Bledsoe and Darryl Bell and according to the Hollywood Reporter they are living in marital bliss. So much so, that they are going to do a Fox reality show called “Househusbands of Hollywood.” The show will focus on men who stay at home while their super successful women be on that paper chase. Okay, all I want to know is why Tempestt married Darryl’s simple azz. It’s a good thing that she majored in finance at NYU because we all know Darryl is not good with managing money and it ain’t like she’s got stacks on deck. If y’all ain’t know already, Darryl was the heir to Daniels & Bell, the first black securities firm on Wall Street. After his father Travers Bell Jr. died of a heart attack, Darryl took over the company and ran it into the ground. He lost $14.9 million dollars in less than five years due to his inexperience. Therefore, Tempestt best be keepin’ an eye on the loot. Other cast members include Jillian Reynolds and her husband Grant and makeup artist Lisa Ashley and her husband, former LA Dodger Billy Ashley.

Speaking of success, rumor has it that Michael Jordan is taking another jab at marriage. I guess Juanita didn’t take enough of his money. According to my sources, Mike is engaged to Cuban model Yvette Prieto and they are set to wed next week. Congrats to the happy couple.
Okay, the Real Housewives of Atlanta are back in the news. Our girl DeShawn Snow and the DeShawn Snow Foundation teamed up with former NFL defensive end Willie Whitehead and the Willie Whitehead Foundation to bring Christmas cheer to underprivileged children in Atlanta and Union City, GA. Thirty children were invited to dine at Willie Whitehead’s Wing Lab in Union City and given gift cards to shop at Walmart. Big ups to DeShawn and Willie for giving back to the community!

Congrats to all couples! Usually when stars agree to participate in reality shows, their careers are either downhill or washed up. Michael Jordan is following in the footsteps of most of the other successful and rich African American males…he marries an either white, or almost white woman. When will successful and rich African Americal males learn, that most white woman only want the lifestyle, not that they are really in love with them. They want to be on the A list of all parties, live in a mansion with maids, drive the finest cars, not work and shop till they drop! Most of them do not have a college education, and just make sure they maintain a slim buid, fake breasts, and will do ANYTHING in or out of bed! The only black man I know whose white woman really loves him is Seal. Heidi Klum did not have to marry Seal, because she already had a successful career. The majority of African American women have college degrees, work extremely hard, and only want men to be faithful and respect them. Most successful and rich African American men want to have a wife and a girlfriend on the side, and white women ALLOW them to do that, because they are only interested in the EASY living.

Miss Davis, please get over yourself. That song you’re singing is as old as that Negro spiritual, “the Man is keeping me down”. It’s tired. Most Black men do NOT objectify white women as trophies or evidence of their success. Why can’t MJ just be in love? Also, your post smacks of racism. Race should have nothing to do with relationships (before you say a word, my wife is a beautiful Black woman and I personally had no preference for dating white women. However, if a woman is a beautiful PERSON, race should have no bearing). Anyway, thank you for that noted sociology lesson about successful black men and their subsequent forays into relationships after marriages to black women. Where did you get your PhD in “Wealthy Blackman Psyche”? Not all black men are OJ Simpson, lady, and I take offense to being stereotyped by angry black women such as yourself. I am certain millions of black men would agree with me. Oh yeah, you forgot one thing: Black women are just as happy to step up and be “the other woman”, too. Mr. P, I applaud you for marrying a successful beautiful black woman and no, “the Man is not keeping me down.” Just stating the response taken from surveying black men ages 18 to 45, who all stated the reason for dating/marrying white/foreign women…”they don’t nag you about staying out all night, and if caught in other relationships, they are always forgiving them and are willing to do anything that is asked of them.” I do agree with you race should not have anything to do with relationships, but non-African American women tend to allow anything in a relationship, especially when money, celebrities and athletes are involved.

I think that both Addie Davis and Mr. P’s comments are valid. Race shouldn’t be a factor and there have been interracial relationships that have been based on genuine love as opposed to status. At the same time, that doesn’t change the psychological issues affecting a large number of African Americans who subconsciously feel that anything lighter or whiter is better or more desirable. The recent revisiting of the “black doll/white doll” test a few years ago bears witness to this fact. I applaud Addie Davis for coming back with the results of an impromptu study. I know a lot of African American men who say the EXACT same thing when justifying their dating preferences.

i must speak the truth!as a youth ,i was offended when a female said that negroes were ugly!the truth is that nordic and celtic northern europeanwomen are the most beautiful in the world.this is a universal truth-children of all races,under the age of 2 and thus not influenced by cultural factors constantly pick fair northern european faces as the most attractive =successful black men AND women consistently pick nordic type mates!not pc,but just an INCONVENIENT fact!THE PROPHET OF TRUTH

What a load of rubbish Lynch writes, the media is controlled and its contents promoted by caucasians and as most weak minded people are susceptible to that, including poor weak-minded black men, they allow themselves to be persuaded by all that gabbage. Black women are very responsible and stron minded and love their race. That is called self respect.I feel embarrassed for black men who date or marry outside their race. More worringly they contribute to the problem by having mixed race children whom statistics shows have the highest rate of mental health issues. My advice to black men: stop embarrassing yourselves and acquire some self respect by improving the quality of your race rather than watering it down. Black is beautiful and not believe the hype!
