The whole world is stunned and relieved at Barack Obama’s victory. The people of the U.S. see it as not just his win, but, for the first time, a win that we share with the President. We supported him and it finally feels like we weren’t hoodwinked or cheated. We went to the polls in unprecedented numbers and got the result we expected. Both of Bush’s elections seemed to cheat the American people out of their vote, but now democracy has spoken. The Boston Globe put together an exquisite photographic essay of the journey Obama experienced on the campaign trail. Keep celebrating with the Globe’s “Big Picture”.
