The justice system has cracked down on three teens that are allegedly responsible for the beating death of an illegal immigrant. They may have thought that the judge would slap them on the wrists because of their ages (16, 17, and 18) but it appears that if convicted of the crime, the judge won’t be so lenient. Although, the judge did throw out first or second degree murder charges which would’ve made them eligible for life sentences. To make things worse for the defendants, the “snitching” rule was thrown out the window when a friend of the boys testified by giving a detailed account of the beating as well as recalled derogatory racial slurs hurled at the victim in the past.
