Detroit is revisiting its “roots”…literally. The city has been overrun with crime, unemployment, and a philandering mayor that has cost the city millions. But now, those who can’t seem to find a way to keep their head above water can, at least, feed their families from new gardens sprouting up everywhere. Urban Farming is a charity headquartered in Detroit that has already planted 500 gardens and is looking to take the idea to London.
