The Assassination of Barack Obama?

What in the fabric of all God’s creation has gone awry in the American Constitution when you think you can pack up your paints and go in a building and put Barack Obama’s children on the wall and title your piece ”Nappy Headed Hos”?!  Not to mention, that is only the beginning of the “display.”  The first amendment only goes so far, especially when you’re talking about someone who could very well be our next President.

A 27-year old, Yazmany Arboleda, thought it would be a good idea to put up an exhibition entitled, “The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/  The Assassination of Barack Obama” in midtown Manhattan across the street from the New York Times.  Obviously, he was interested in grabbing the attention of the paper (and he certainly did).  But the attention he garnered ran a lot deeper than the NY-Times, in walks  NYPD and the Secret Service.  Play time officially OVER!

Arboleda is under the impression that his exhibition is “art.” He told the NY-Times, “It’s art. It’s not supposed to be harmful. It’s about character assassination – about how Obama and Hillary have been portrayed by the media.” He added, “It’s about the media.”  Well it wasn’t media putting the paper on the window covering the title, it was the LAW!

If you’d like to see the exhibit, make sure there’s no young one’s near you when you visit.  It gets a little, shall we say, graphic.  If you’d like a play-by-play of what happened that day as well as have access to links that take you to elaborate sites on Obama and Clinton that were put up by the “artist”, read the NY-Times story.

Muslims Not Welcomed At Obama Rally?

Shimaa Abdelfadeel      Hebba Aref

Obama is anti-muslim?  Nah! Couldn’t be.  He is being labeled as such though after his latest rally in Detroit, Mi., where Al Gore gave a stirring endorsement speech for the Democratic Presidential candidate.  The rally started on a sour note for a couple of muslim women who were there in time to be in prime seats behind the stage.  But they were not asked to sit.

In fact, the women, Shimaa Abdelfadeel and Hebba Aref, were shunned by campaign volunteers because of their head scarves known as a hijab.  The Barack Obama campaign is an all inclusive deal.  The candidate, being the first black democratic presidential candidate, seems to completely disassociate himself with anything that is not inclusive of all.  He stands on a sort of “rainbow coalition” of a campaign…forgive us Jesse.  But, he has asked for forgiveness from so many people you wouldn’t be surprised to catch him in the middle of the street joining hands with innocent bystanders singing Kumbaya.  Enough is enough.

javon-walker-wide-receiver.jpgJavon Walker, wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders, was robbed and beaten in Vegas and no one has seen a thing.  It seems that the apparent mugging is a mystery.  On Monday, the 29-year old, NFL player was left for dead on a street off the Las Vegas strip, unconscious from the beating.  The police said that Walker suffered “significant injuries” in the robbery.  The assailants got away with what has been reported as “a large amount of cash and some jewelry.”

Several night club workers were interviewed, but none noticed any suspicious behavior or disturbances at either of the clubs where Walker had been seen prior to the robbery.  Police Lt. Clinton Nichols said that detectives investigated Walker’s whereabouts leading up to the altercation.

Walker was a first-round draft pick for the Green Bay Packers in 2001 and just signed a six-year, $55 million deal with the Oakland Raiders in February after being released by the Denver Broncos because of a knee injury.  See the full story on the mysterious robbery here.

Amy Winehouse (a reportedly 20 million dollar girl) has been quite the media hog these days, but not of her own volition.  It was reported a day ago that she played a 2 million dollar-an-hour gig in Moscow drunk as a skunk and just barely there, and now she has reportedly obliged fans outside her home in north London by agreeing to an impromptu autograph signing session, upon which she fainted into the arms of one of her handlers and was hospitalized for precaution.  With her beau in jail and that raging drug monkey on her back, the pressure seems to be proving too much.  It’s apparently the best of times and most certainly the worst of times…Read the story here.
