Javon Walker, wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders, was robbed and beaten in Vegas and no one has seen a thing. It seems that the apparent mugging is a mystery. On Monday, the 29-year old, NFL player was left for dead on a street off the Las Vegas strip, unconscious from the beating. The police said that Walker suffered “significant injuries” in the robbery. The assailants got away with what has been reported as “a large amount of cash and some jewelry.”
Several night club workers were interviewed, but none noticed any suspicious behavior or disturbances at either of the clubs where Walker had been seen prior to the robbery. Police Lt. Clinton Nichols said that detectives investigated Walker’s whereabouts leading up to the altercation.
Walker was a first-round draft pick for the Green Bay Packers in 2001 and just signed a six-year, $55 million deal with the Oakland Raiders in February after being released by the Denver Broncos because of a knee injury. See the full story on the mysterious robbery here.
